L'INSA Lyon est un Etablissement Public à caractère Scientifique, Culturel et Professionnel en charge de missions de formation et de recherche, placé sous la tutelle du ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation. Il se caractérise par une très forte synergie entre formation et recherche, une proximité étroite et des collaborations riches et fructueuses avec les milieux socio-économiques. Notre stratégie de recherche a pour objectif de développer des travaux au plus haut niveau d'excellence scientifique dans les disciplines majeures de l'Ingénierie, mais également de développer une recherche responsable et sociétale, en accord avec les valeurs humaines fondatrices de l'INSA Lyon portées par les deux pères fondateurs de l'établissement, Gaston Berger et Jean Capelle en 1957.
